This is how your blog will look until you spiff it up!

It took me 3 minutes to create this blog space (most of it spent looking at templates.)

I'm going to make this post short so I can say that it took less than 10 minutes to create a blog and make the first post. I already had a Google account so that saved a minute or two, I suppose.

I think I'll use this blog during ISWO to share some reflections about online teaching, teaching/courses at RRU and ISWO in particular.

I'll post at least once a week during ISWO to parallel what we are asking participants to do.

This first post is to show that you can start simple. After ISWO kicks off and people have had a chance to see this and know it's okay to start with something small and plain-looking, I think I'll jazz it up a bit.

If you are half-way tech savvy or just not afraid to jump in I think you can do this without any help. If you are a bit reluctant view the video and/or the PowerPoint that Elizabeth made for you. (See the ISWO Moodle site)

  1. I'm looking forward to seeing your blog evolve and hearing your reflections on online learning.

And I agree that the templates are sort of hypnotizing. Kind of reminds me of word processing in K-12 when kids spend more time picking out a font than they do in writing their reports.
